Blood culture bottle, anaerobic

A blood culture bottle is used to grow and identify microorganisms in a blood sample. Fluid thioglycollate medium is used to cultivate aerobic and anaerobic bacteria especially anaerobic bacteria. It’s commonly used for sterility testing. It is available in 50ml packing for adults and 30ml packing for paeds.
